Paul du Plessis
Attorney
Paul obtained his BLC and LLB degrees from the University of Pretoria. He served his articles at Savage Jooste and Adams where his interest in insurance and personal injury litigation began. He was admitted as an attorney in 1996.
In 2008, Paul established Paul du Plessis Attorneys, focusing on medical malpractice litigation and more recently also insurance litigation. The firm has represented successful claimants in medical negligence cases in the High Court, involving all types of life changing harm including retinopathy of prematurity blindness, cerebral palsy and other brain damage, death, amputation.
Over the past 30 years, Paul has put his vast experience and passion to work in getting people the compensation they deserve. His exceptional track record in complicated cases is owed to the extraordinary level of practical and theoretical research done with every case. He has regularly given presentations to legal and medical professionals, including workshops on medical malpractice for the Black Lawyers Association.
Zandrey Nel
Attorney
Zandrey joined Paul du Plessis Attorneys in June 2019 as an administrative clerk and later paralegal. He obtained his LLB degree through part-time studies at UNISA, completed his articles and was admitted as attorney in early 2024. During his 5 years with the firm, Zandrey has gained valuable practical and theoretical knowledge and experience in the litigation of insurance, medical negligence, RAF and personal injury litigation.
Boitumelo T Dzumba
Attorney
Boitumelo joined Paul du Plessis Attorneys in March 2022 as a candidate attorney. She obtained her LLB degree (cum laude) at UNISA and was admitted as attorney in early 2024. Boitumelo has a passion for the law and for helping clients from all walks of life. Her main areas of focus are medical negligence, personal injury litigation and the administration of deceased estates.
